Calling all equestrians and county fair folk...
Anthropologie has selected our terrariums - once again! - for this year's Anthro pop-up shop at the Devon Horse Show. Jojo just delivered a little stable of really special pieces to the Anthro team on site this week... no doubt, they''re cooking up some spectacular something to wow that well-heeled Mainline crowd.
According to the Devon Horse Show website... "In 1896, the Devon Horse Show started as a one-day show. Now, years later, it has become the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed competition in the United States... While it draws top competitors from around the world, the show continues to reflect the local traditions and lifestyles of the Philadelphia Main Line.
It all sounds pretty amazing to us... cannot wait to check it out next week. I am curious to see what a country fair looks like when its attached to such a prestigious event. cutting to the chase... they will have funnel cake, won't they? In life, there are few joys akin to eating a giant funnel cake... with your hands... standing up... getting powdered sugar from your nose to your sneakers... while people are staring at you, but with eyes of envy not judgement. Yes, indeedy... it's fair time! Hello Mainline!
Until my funnel cake... ahem, hedonism... let us dream of other more civilized delights.......
of the equestrian and terrarium variety. And the terrariums turned out a bit liked trophies, I think!? A couple of them were so charming....
